About The Position

Training and Development Specialist Key Role: Provide comprehensive training services to enhance the operational readiness and effectiveness of the U.S. military, civilian personnel, and contractors. Provide instruction and assessment support for the Security Managers Course. Train and evaluate students attending the Security Manager’s Course. Support the Protection Program Assessments (APPAs) by evaluating the State’s general intelligence security, information security, industrial security, communications security, foreign disclosure, sensitive compartmented information, and personnel security programs. Assist the APPAs by traveling to, coordinating with, and evaluating their programs. Support training implementation, including material development, deliverable material development, course presentation, and course evaluations.

Requirements

  • Experience working on Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), and General Intelligence Security (GIS) disciplines
  • Experience developing and delivering various Programs of Instruction (POI)
  • Experience running military courses, seminars, exercises, and workshops
  • Ability to author curriculum using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as a Security Manager course instructor or 5+ years of experience as a Security Manager course instructor in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with teaching or instructing at the DoD level
  • Experience assessing general intelligence security, information security, industrial security, communications security, foreign disclosure, sensitive compartmented information, and personnel security programs
