In this position, you’ll leverage your experience to provide essential training for your colleagues, work varied shifts as needed, and gain exposure working across different departments when training tasks are not assigned. Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment with exposure to different areas of a warehouse/DC.
  • Internals must have at least 6 months of service to qualify.
  • Must have new hire orientation and hands on floor training experience in a warehouse environment
  • Power equipment experience required (including Reach truck, Pallet Jack and Forklift). This position will eventually train others on equipment, so, must be able to maintain certifications
  • Demonstrated English communication and presentation skills: Must be able to partner with diverse groups or individuals to train, mentor, and explain processes/SOPs to various levels of employees
  • MS Office at an intermediate level (data entry, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of the team and individuals
  • Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and be proactive
  • Excellent organization and prioritization with competing priorities
  • Critical thinking skills – root cause analysis & understanding of how functions are related
  • Basic Math – add/subtract/multiply/divide
  • General office demands
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated areas when required
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • May need to work in cold or refrigerated areas
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds

  • Exposure to Acumax preferred (training will be provided)

Responsibilities

  • Will lead training for power equipment, SOP and new hires along with other compliance training for current and new team members as the need arises
  • Manage and monitor the new hire training program for effectiveness. Program should continue to evaluate and measure productivity and quality.
  • Works closely with management to assess training needs of both new hires and existing employees.
  • Maintain training records and discuss training plans with employees and employee’s supervisor.
  • Observes trainee performance and provides instruction, coaching and counseling to improve performance.
  • Provides annual safety re-training courses in order to meet company and government compliance policies.
  • Performs other projects as assigned.
