NAMI San Diego & Imperial Counties (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides free education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental health conditions. The Trainer for the Peer Training and Placement Program is responsible for delivering structured, high-quality facilitation for the 80- hour Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist training curriculum delivered through live online and in-person instruction, virtual office hours, Continuing Education (CE) classes, and program outreach presentations. The Trainer program recruitment and outreach efforts follow the Peer Training and Placement Program trajectory, which includes outreach, registration, readiness interviews, class facilitation, and limited post-training support as appropriate.
