Requirements

CDL Class B with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements
5 years motor coach driving experience
2 years commercial driver training, coaching, or instructional experience; or 10 years of driving experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Urban driving/training experience (DC, Baltimore, etc.)
Smith System or similar defensive driving certification
Experience with LMS systems or safety programs
Accident investigation background

Responsibilities

Train new and current Motor Coach Operators in both classroom and behind-the-wheel settings
Teach safe driving practices, defensive driving, pre-trip inspections, and DOT/FMCSA compliance
Conduct skills evaluations, road tests, and remedial or recertification training
Maintain and update training materials, presentations, and LMS content
Support Safety and HR with onboarding, documentation, and safety initiatives when training demand is low
Assist with accident follow-up and operational driving as needed
