The Staff Development Trainer will possess a strong knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, with a proven record of providing effective instruction to individuals and groups, and successfully measuring training results. They will demonstrate understanding and application of adult learning methodologies, knowledge of clinical practice in mental health services; especially those related to geriatric populations, exceptional oral and written communication, as well as superior relationship building across behavioral health disciplines. They will have the ability to develop instructional material, coordinate educational content, and incorporate current technology targeted to meet the needs of the intended audiences as well as work collaboratively and think critically to resolve differences and conflicts, conduct research, and creatively promote programmatic objectives. Critical to success in this position is strong knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) regulations, and other Federal and State requirements for Acute Psychiatric Hospitals. They will have a robust knowledge of multiple Learning Management Systems (LMSs), computer-based training software, data management applications, and document management tools. Finally, they will have the ability to accept guidance and direction, facilitate organizational development activities, and provide supervision to new employees while they are in orientation.
