About The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Trainee Machine Operative within our spray cell department working across our two day shifts (Monday- Friday 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm). This is a role where you will be involved in an extensive 12 week training programme to learn new skills and become an expert in working our robot sprayer. In a nutshell, you will be responsible for: Inspecting the quality of our Shaws sinks to ensure there is no damage as well as operating and maintaining our robotic spray systems to apply engobe undercoat and glaze paint to clay sinks with precision and consistency. You’ll ensure every sink meets our exacting standards before it moves to the kiln department, taking pride in your craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Have a keen eye for detail
- A star at prepping before commencing work
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Following SOPs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and PPE compliance
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or industrial related working environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- A target-driven mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
