About The Position

Ready to find the right role for you? No prior experience is required as you will be given training and mentoring on the job. We're looking for a conscientious and diligent individual who wants to make a difference to the environment. The successful applicant will then go on a 24 month training programme to help you to develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career. As well as this, you’ll also gain qualifications such as a Level 4 Environmental Health & Safety, corporate responsibility & sustainable & ethical marketing and communication skills. With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices you’ll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential. Requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted including Maths & English
A full clean UK Driving Licence
Must enjoy travelling to our sites and working outdoors.

Responsibilities

Assist the aftercare team with the environmental monitoring and management of water, gas & leachate on closed and open landfill sites
Compile reports and data to be submitted to the compliance team in accordance with environment agency and permit requirements
You will be involved in the general maintenance of landfill infrastructure and learn multiple practical skills
Identify, analyse and correct problems as and when they arise and carry out projects relevant to the management of the sites
