Transport Refrigeration, Inc. is looking for a skilled Trailer Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on trailers. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (technical school preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle or trailer repair
• Air Brake Certification or the ability to obtain
• DOT Inspector Certification or the ability to obtain
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Own toolbox with standard and metric hand/air tools
• Forklift certification or willingness to complete

Nice To Haves

• Experience with welding, ABS systems, and steel fabrication is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on trailers, refrigeration units, and APUs
• Complete trailer repairs including:
• Brakes, tires, suspensions
• Electrical systems and ABS
• Steel and aluminum welding
• Structural, body, and door repairs
• DOT/FHWA inspections
• Road service and emergency repair work as needed
• Maintain company vehicles and a clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
