Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing maintenance on equipment. The mechanic will conduct safety inspections and prepare necessary safety documents as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State or Local regulations. Duties also include interpreting work orders and technical manuals, repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems, and testing repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations. Regular attendance is required, and employees are expected to perform any and all other duties as assigned due to operational, safety, and other needs.
