About The Position
Join our Trail Crew and spend your summer working in the mountains! As a Trail Crew Team Member, you’ll work closely with the Trail Crew Supervisor to build, maintain, and improve mountain trails and surrounding areas. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in hard work, and thrives in a team setting.
Requirements
- A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required
- Punctual, reliable, and ready to work
- Strong team player with a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, sun, heat, cold, snow, etc.)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor on uneven terrain
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Clear trails and the surrounding areas of debris and rubbish
- Operate hand tools, chainsaws, and brush saws safely and effectively
- Help build new trail features and perform regular maintenance
- Assist with bike trail construction and upkeep as needed
- May drive company vehicles to transport tools, supplies, or crew members
- Follow trail plans and directions with precision and care
- Communicate with team using 2-way radios
