Under general supervision, performs skilled technical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signal control devices. Work involves installing traffic signal equipment; troubleshooting problems; adjusting and repairing equipment, supervise subordinate staff; and responding to inquiries. Employee works according to some procedures and decides how and when to do tasks. Work also involves responding to emergency repair calls on a 24 hour basis. Employee is responsible for responding to emergency repair calls in adverse weather conditions. Reports to the Traffic Signals System Superintendent.
