About The Position

As a Missile Tracking Systems Engineer for the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). You will be part of an elite team providing the evolution, expansion, integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities and infrastructure management, including all development, systems engineering, integration, testing, maintenance, and site support. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks
  • Minimum of 10+ years of recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience, end to end packet prioritization and routing, or traffic modeling experience
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Recent experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Java, Python
  • Recent experience with simulation and modeling analysis tools such as Ansys STK
  • Recent experience with System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
  • Experience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis)

Responsibilities

  • Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into modeling of the traffic data flow from a satellite constellation to the ground network
  • Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite services to track missiles
  • Analysis of missile tracking data to validate the traffic model
