About The Position

As Traffic Manager, you will lead warehousing & delivery operations for Plastipak’s Pineville, LA facility. You'll collaborate with multiple functions, including Quality, Procurement and Production, as well as carriers, vendors and customers. Your team contributes to Plastipak’s ranking as an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of rigid plastic containers. You Will Manage a team to achieve best possible outcomes for complete and on-time delivery to customers, minimal days on hand, logistics and warehouse costs, inventory accuracy and shrinkage Perform monthly cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods Maintain communication with internal colleagues, customers and carriers Uphold & contribute to our positive work environment where safety, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction are our core values

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading logistics and warehousing functions within a manufacturing environment
  • An in-depth understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and distribution functions
  • Proven leadership and strong interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire people
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and data communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • System proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
