Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering. or a related Field.
3-8 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related discipline.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Ability to work in both field and office environments.
Willingness to travel locally throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.
Proficiency with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, or similar tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, problem solving mindset.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain one.
Experience with project management and leading project teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct and oversee traffic impact studies, safety analyses, and traffic flow evaluations.
Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications for highway and traffic engineering projects, including signals, signage, and pavement markings.
Perform and review studies involving parking restrictions, sight distance, speed limits, and pavement markings.
Lead the design and analysis of traffic control devices using Synchro, HCS, or similar software.
Develop and optimize signal timing plans to improve efficiency and safety.
Conduct field investigations and site visits to collect data and assess real-world conditions.
Collaborate across departments and with clients to deliver high-quality, timely project outcomes.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal and commercial clients.
Participate in staff, client, and public meetings, addressing technical and community concerns.
Stay current with industry standards and technology advancements to apply best practices in traffic engineering.
Ensure all designs and analyses comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
