About The Position

Freese and Nichols is looking for a Traffic Engineer in the Greenville, Columbia, or Raleigh offices . As a Traffic Engineer, you will support traffic studies and analyses that inform transportation planning and design decisions for public-sector clients. You will work alongside experienced engineers and planners while continuing to develop your technical expertise. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 3+ years of traffic engineering experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with traffic analysis software
  • Exposure to DOT or public-sector transportation projects

Responsibilities

  • Perform traffic impact analyses, operational studies, and safety evaluations
  • Develop traffic models, forecasts, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with agency coordination and technical reviews
  • Support senior engineers and planners on transportation projects
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements
