KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for a Traffic Control Plan Drafter/Designer.

Requirements

  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of traffic engineering principles as it pertains to temporary traffic control / maintenance of traffic (US FHWA MUTCD, state, and local standards)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in traffic control, either in plan preparation or field setup settings
  • A minimum of two years’ experience and Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2005 or higher

  • Autodesk AutoCAD
  • ATSSA Traffic Control Technician / Supervisor or Traffic Control Design Specialist (optional, preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design and draft temporary traffic control / maintenance of traffic plans to be utilized in field operations on city, county, and state roadways
  • Research, edit, and create base map GIS resources for traffic control plans within determined jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with project managers, drafters, clients, field personnel, and governing agency staff to design temporary traffic control setups
  • Perform site walks / field visits and draft all field-engineering notes pertinent to designs
  • Other duties as deemed necessary
