About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks within a Sainsbury's store, primarily focused on maintaining stock levels, ensuring product presentation, and providing excellent customer service. The Trading Assistant will be responsible for replenishing shelves using heavy roll cages, assisting customers with inquiries and product recommendations, performing date checks on fresh produce and grocery items, and generally supporting store operations and deliveries as needed. The ideal candidate is friendly, enthusiastic about helping customers, thrives in a fast-paced and physical team environment, takes initiative, is flexible, and comfortable with digital tools. They should also possess great attention to detail to maintain a clean and organized store, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish items across the store, keeping our shelves tidy and full of well-presented products
• Always ready to serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and proactively offering help
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required
