Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tradeshow and events or similar position.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Detail-oriented, problem solver, with strong prioritization skills.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and sponsorships.
  • Experience preparing budgets and basic accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in tradeshow coordination: Setting up/dismantle tradeshow booths, working with union labor, electrical, plumbing.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Efficient, well organized, and highly self-motivated with critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment and holds themselves accountable to meet/exceed set goals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and/or customer.
  • Passion for excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Solid understanding of marketing concepts including lead management process, customer lifecycle, lead nurturing, and marketing automation systems.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel to manage and staff trade shows (20%).

Responsibilities

  • Manages the tradeshow schedule for Spacesaver and maintains calendar of shows our Distribution Network attends.
  • Oversees all details related to tradeshows, including staffing, booth equipment, materials, supplies, show documentation, contracts, deposits, communications with show organizers, and ensures all necessary deadlines are met.
  • Coordinates packing, transportation, delivery, setup, and breakdown of display and materials.
  • Collaborates with Marketing Team, Vertical Market Managers, Product Managers, and Sales Team to ensure the right mix of product and messaging is showcased at shows and that goals for lead generation are achieved.
  • Maintains trade show equipment storage space in the warehouse.
  • Owns show and event budgets including post-show reconciliation, processes payments, monitors expenses, and prepares reports related to tradeshows; evaluates ROI and recommends opportunities to enhance exhibit performance.
  • Fosters productive relationships with meeting organizations, vendors, and Area Contractors to ensure the Spacesaver brand is well represented.
  • Manages event technology and ensures efficient lead management, from lead capture to timely handoff to business development.
  • Develops and coordinates “beyond-the-booth” strategies to maximize event impact, including speaking engagements, sponsorship activations, networking opportunities, and pre/post-show marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
  • Represents Spacesaver at conferences and trade shows.
