About The Position

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Trades Tech III - Plumber HVAC to provide maintenance services including installation, repair and preventive maintenance, on the buildings, equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and utility systems, and grounds and snow removal. This position will also perform preventive maintenance (PM) on buildings and equipment in accordance with the work order control system; recognize and report corrective maintenance (CM) to the work order control center and to perform corrective maintenance in accordance with the work order control system; install new equipment and communicate maintenance requirements to the work order control center; assist other trades in the repairs of building systems and maintenance as directed by the supervisor; assist with snow and ice removal; Lock out/tag out defective equipment as required by departmental policies; and maintain a set schedule to ensure a minimum of a 40-hour work week and fulfill all work requirements (fill out leave slips/insure coverage). Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience or vocational training
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License
