About The Position

This full-time Trades Specialist III/HVAC position is located at Aurora Sinai Medical Center, working the 1st shift from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an on-call rotation every 3rd week. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems, diagnosing and implementing repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems, and installing/maintaining building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and controls systems. The specialist will also operate and monitor advanced utility equipment and utilize building automation systems for troubleshooting. Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain.
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training.
  • 4 or more Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills/competency in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems.
  • Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.
  • Ability to work required shifts and participate in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions due to exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards.
  • Position requires travel.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Community College/Trade school degree.

  • 7+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
  • Diagnoses and implements repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems.
  • Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems.
  • Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and utilizes building automation systems to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
  • Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
  • Performs other related duties.
