About The Position

Supports resort operations by performing electrician tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. Work Ethic – Taking pride in your work. As a Trades II - Electrician , you will, Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management. Advanced understanding of electrical systems operations and the ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. Expert ability to work with fixtures such as ceiling fans, circuit breakers, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and light bulbs. Conduct repairs on moderately complex equipment, such as laundry equipment and appliances. Work with low-voltage systems (12V to 24V) installing controls, thermostats, transformers, switches, relays, and breaker panels. Install panels, circuits, and devices using electrical conduits (EMT), MC cable, and wiring as required. Exhibit the ability to read and interpret technical data and O&M manuals. Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are on-site for tasks. Operate resort operations software and devices effectively (HotSOS). Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions. Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management. Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools necessary for electrical work. Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and in confined or narrow spaces. Follow safety guidelines and practices. Identify and report potential hazards on the property. Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions to ensure resolutions. Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures. Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior. Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.

Requirements

  • Technical certification or Electrician license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical work within a resort or commercial environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds
  • Written and verbal communication in English is expected.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.
  • Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
