Our Trade Compliance/Global Logistics Student position will provide you with extensive learning opportunities and experiences that will enhance your potential. As the Trade Compliance/Global Logistics Student, you will work as a member of the corporate logistics team in our sourcing department, a corporate entity in the manufacturing division of Daktronics. The corporate logistics team manages the relationships with our freight services suppliers, including freight forwarding and customs brokerage. You will be assisting our U.S. factories with imports, exports, and trade compliance needs, as well as work with our international subsidiaries on their imports. The focus will be on assisting with initiatives to drive continuous improvement. The majority of the work will be logistics or compliance projects where you will have the opportunity to interact with internal customers and external vendors via phone, email, and meetings. Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. This position has opportunity to work from a US-based home office; however, there is a need to be within a commutable distance (approximately two-hour driving distance) to US Daktronics campuses (Brookings & Sioux Falls, SD and Redwood Falls, MN). Travel to US Daktronics campuses could happen during the summer and/or during school breaks.
