About The Position

The Principal, Global Trade Compliance Investigations is a full-time position within the Corporate Global Trade function at L3Harris reporting to the Senior Director and Management Counsel, Global Trade Compliance. This position can be either located in L3Harris' Arlington, VA or Melbourne, FL office. Essential Functions: Conduct internal investigations of reported compliance incidents involving potential violations of US and non-US export controls. Develop and execute investigation plans, including collecting and reviewing relevant documentation, assessing data, and interviewing relevant personnel, and coordinate with other functions as needed throughout the investigative lifecycle. Where necessary, prepare voluntary disclosures for submission to U.S. and non-U.S. regulators. Coordinate with business segments to complete root cause assessments and development actionable corrective actions. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant export controls laws (e.g. ITAR, EAR). Brief company leadership on investigations trends and findings. Assist with data collection in preparation for internal assessments, audits, and other compliance reviews. 5-10% travel domestically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
