Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience in Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and ability to read 10-12 point font at 12-18 inches.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read effectively in English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to hear and recognize various sounds such as emergency machine shutdown alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to non-established procedures as they arise.
  • Provide input to Product Development regarding mold or tooling design and approve final design.
  • Collaborate with all plants on tooling issues.
  • Assist plants with installation and start-up of new molds or tooling.
  • Optimize performance of all molds or tooling within area of responsibility.
  • Work with plant operations to support continuous improvement in the tooling department.
  • Track mold or tooling prices for all projects to ensure best value.
  • Maintain and enforce company safety, environmental, and health requirements.
  • Use caution and support facility systems to maintain safety and event-free operations.
  • Respond to emergencies or potential emergencies following established procedures.
  • Observe, respond, and report any product, service, or quality system non-conformities.
  • Maintain security diligence: control key cards, prevent unauthorized entry, and ensure proper equipment security.
  • Successfully complete all Primary Duties as outlined in associated training.
  • Pause activity and notify Safety Lead regarding unsafe work environments or practices.
  • Initiate actions to prevent non-conformity of product, service, or quality systems.
  • Recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
