About The Position

The primary role of the Tooling Engineer is to develop the assembly fixtures, EOAT and automation line in time and good quality as production requirement.

Requirements

  • Personal Computer literate, with analytical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Through understanding of Automotive procedures and processes
  • Previous Automotive Glazing System Tooling develop Experience
  • Thorough understanding of Fuyao products, specifications
  • Mechanical Engineering Bachelor degree is required
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Stations (CATIA V5 and /or UG NX )
  • Experience in GD&T
  • Bilingual language is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years automotive tooling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all OSHA, safety and PPE requirement.
  • Design, verify ,and follow up with tooling for each product
  • Develop new automotive production lines
  • Design and develop fixtures and EOAT
  • Verify, check and accept fixtures and EOAT
  • Environmental, Health & Safety of self and colleagues including outside contractors or support personnel.
  • Improve overall processes and related issues by taking a pro-active lead in the Continuous Improvement Activities.
  • Create, document, develop and deliver procedures to ensure the tooling meets all targets relating to Quality, Cost and Delivery.
  • Support the Quality group in evaluation and improvement of product dimensional reports.
  • Support the Program management group in evaluation of new work and tooling.
  • Program tracking and follow up of new program tooling scheduled for facility.
  • Support all tooling launch activities.
  • Project leader for all tooling related engineering changes.
  • Lead individuals and team meetings when implementing engineering changes, improvements, and major repairs.
  • Tool and Die support during on-line troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions
  • Support the Tool & Die department with root cause analysis and repair plans.
  • Focus on Tool & Die knowledge and implement continual training to employees.
  • Develop spare parts requirements and assist in procurement options.
  • Kaizen submittal and implementation

  • Backfills other work stations as needed
