About The Position

The Toyota Salesman is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients in purchasing new and used Toyota vehicles. This role involves understanding customer needs, showcasing vehicle features, and closing sales in a competitive automotive market.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Familiarity with Toyota vehicles and brand preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical activity.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing role preferred.
  • Familiarity with Toyota vehicles and brand preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and identify their vehicle needs.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish trust and enhance the buying experience.
  • Stay updated on Toyota vehicle features, specifications, and promotions.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and explain the benefits of Toyota models.
  • Guide customers through the sales process from initial inquiry to final purchase.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, including financing options and warranties.
  • Maintain contact with potential and existing customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain an organized database of customer interactions.
  • Work closely with the sales team and management to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the service department to address customer needs post-sale.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to adjust sales strategies.
  • Participate in dealership events and promotions to drive sales.
