About The Position

Skill and Certifications Requirements (Must be able to pass and obtain the certs required - if you don't have them already.) (4-6) years' experience as a Wireless Tower Technician Ability to climb and work at heights of 500+ feet is mandatory. Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 75lbs, and must be able to crouch, kneel, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs. Ability to blend well and work well with crew members. Ability and competency to supervise and lead a crew Must have a strong and reliable work ethic, be willing and able to follow directives, and able to work in inclement weather conditions. Must maintain proper personal hygiene, a clean presence in company trucks, and a neat presence of tools and equipment in trailers. Willingness to take on and learn new tasks - as needed. Skilled with Antenna systems, Jumpers, Connector installation, Weatherproofing, and Grounding is a MUST Ability to use a digital camera and/or electronic device with the ability to take quality photos ComTrain certified or equivalent climber rescue training. RF Awareness is needed (obtainable/renewable post-acceptance) CPR/First-Aid/Blood Bourne is needed (obtainable/renewable post-acceptance) Confined Space is needed (obtainable/renewable post-acceptance) OSHA 10/30 is needed (obtainable/renewable post-acceptance) NWSA Certification recommended Rigging Certification or experience, is a must Ability to operate a Capstan Hoist Other vendor and client-specific certs will be required. Ability to send daily site reports and crew timesheets Absolutely must ensure QUALITY work is performed in compliance with client, company, and government safety requirements. The ability to follow construction and installation procedures and policies is also a strict requirement. Ability to effectively communicate with customer site support via electronic device Ability to fill out daily job site paperwork, including but not limited to, JHA's, Safety Forms, etc. Must be able to work OT and weekends as required. Direct responsibility for personal tool and trailer inventory of company provided tools and equipment. Candidates must pass a background, Drug test, and DMV screening to be considered for employment. Travel outside of our current markets (Michigan & Indiana) may be required. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Troubleshooting experience and Knowledge to diagnose and fix the common causes of equipment failure and site alarms (VSWR, diversity, TMA alarms, etc.) Basic Computer/Email Skills - Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft experience Ability to use an Antenna Alignment Tool (AAT) & Compass. Anritsu and Fiber testing. Compliance of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe technical operation of the department. Industry experience and understanding of multiple carrier standards and procedures (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.). Some travel outside of our current markets (Michigan & Indiana) may be required.
