About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is expanding its Orlando team and seeking Light Duty Tow Truck Operators. The company values positive attitudes, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. Drivers will keep their assigned truck, with no slip seating. All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck. Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is a family-owned business since 1960, serving the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas, specializing in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage. Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience required
• Current DOT Medical Card required before the 1st day of work
• Clean driving record required for at least the past 3 years
• MUST be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse (For CDL holders only)

Nice To Haves

• Prior towing experience or related field preferred but not required! We will train you to operate the tow truck!

Responsibilities

• Respond efficiently to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents
• Maintain communication with motorists while en route
• Perform basic repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed
• Safely load vehicles onto your truck
• Remove illegally parked vehicles as required
