About The Position

As a Tournament Coordinator, your goal is to create and execute a flawless experience for either a one day event or package group.   EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Display a professional appearance and attitude, and remain courteous to guests at all times. Provide a warm greeting and introduction with the group contact as soon as the file is handed over from golf sales Review all of the services that you as a tournament coordinator provides for their event or package Provide information about the group as it pertains to hotel leaders, golf leaders and golf staff.  Review the information at the golf weekly strategy meeting to ensure the support and details of the event or package are executed Be present for the entirety of the groups event or package stay  Knowledge and expertise of the tournament software program  Knowledge of course slope and rating, golfer handicaps and golfer indexes.  Knowledge of the different types of scoring formats that we would give as an option to the event or package group. Provide a fond farewell to the guests of the event or package group. Follow up with group coordinator 1-2 days after the event or stay. A complete 360 degree awareness of guest activity is required to ensure guests are provided warm welcome as they will be coming from all directions.  Manage the tee time reservation system and the daily tee sheet to promote the maximization of golf revenue along with the best guest experience.   Maintain cleanliness of the office space in the tournament coordinator office Consistently maintain the 14 day forecast and distribute to the necessary parties.  Professionally wear and promote the uniform program to guests.   Perform any number of reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing to enhance the golf operation experience.    OTHER: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Trump National Doral Miami from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the industry, that we are in a need will occur for each associate to provide “Lateral Service”. Our goal is to ensure that we are maximizing customer satisfaction and as a result there will be times when our associates in the Operation will call upon us for support in order to ensure customer satisfaction occurs. When we are fortunate enough for this to occur, each associate will positively respond unless there is a chance that an opportunity resulting in dissatisfying a guest could occur. If this is the case the leader is to be notified and the level of support that is being requested will be obtained.   SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. Provide support to golf reservations via telephone inquiries regarding the golf operation and tee times.  Provide support during night golf events Provide support to the golf leader on duty   SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Associates will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a golf environment.
