About The Position

Under direct supervision, conducts groups through Authority plants and visitors centers to provide information on the Authority and its energy sources through tours, lectures and/or demonstrations; maintains daily newspaper clipping files. Tour guides will also be assigned to perform basic routine maintenance in order to setup and/or disassemble portable exhibitory as needed. May work with and assist Senior Tour Guide. The Hawkins Point Visitors Center opens 7 days per week beginning late May through mid-October. The Tour Guide will be expected to work a Wednesday- Sunday schedule during this open season and shift back to Monday- Friday schedule during the off-season. Requirements

  • Must possess High School diploma and minimum one year experience in related communications, public contact or educational/community service employment or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure
