About The Position

Tour Guides provide prospective students and their families the opportunity to experience life on The Bluff. The Tour Guide positions are multi-faceted and include walking visitors around campus, sharing stories about student life, participating in large events, public speaking, and more. We are currently hiring Tour Guides for Spring 2026 Through working with Admissions Tour Guides, prospective students and families should become more knowledgeable about campus, understand that we are a Catholic university and how faith plays a role on campus, and learn what it means to be a UP student. Tour Guides in the Office of Admissions are expected to represent UP and provide a positive perspective into campus and life on The Bluff.

Requirements

• Tour Guides who work for the Office of Admissions are superb: they are well-rounded, articulate, happy to be part of the UP community, involved in campus life, considerate, and friendly.
• Tour Guides need to be punctual, organized, and recognize that they are often the first and perhaps only contact prospective students may have with UP.
• While first-year and transfer students are welcome to apply, priority will be given to those with additional UP experience.

Nice To Haves

• Campus life experience: clubs, Residence Life, ASUP, any and all community activites
• Admissions programming participation (Weekend On the Bluff, Overnight hosting, etc)
• Green Dot trained
• Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Give 1-2 regularly scheduled tours each week (typically 2-5hrs per week)
• Work 3-4 Saturday events per semester such as Saturday Workshops, Weekend On The Bluff, Counselor Fly-In programs
• Assist with Admissions operations including student panels, passing out t-shirts, answering phones, stuffing folders.
• Be knowledgeable about all things UP (comprehensive training included in Tour Guide Orientation)
• Work closely with fellow Admissions team members and campus partners
• Other relevant duties as assigned
