About The Position

Ryan Companies is hiring for a Total Rewards Specialist in our Minneapolis HQ! Our Total Rewards Specialist will help with the implementation and delivery of our Benefits, Wellness and Recognition processes and programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented and is passionate about making a company-wide impact and being a trusted resource for others. Some things you can expect to do: Benefits & Wellness Program Administration Administer our comprehensive benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and disability coverage. Coordinate the company’s wellness program, driving engagement and managing our wellness platform to support the health of our team members. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, compassionately and clearly explaining program features, assisting with enrollments, and resolving issues. Partner with our external vendors and third-party administrators to ensure excellent service and seamless program delivery. Assist with compliance testing, performing plan audits, and preparing and filing necessary government forms. Compensation & Payroll Support Support the administration of the company’s recognition program, ensuring a smooth experience for all. Serve as a backup to the payroll team, understanding and assisting with essential payroll processes and reporting. Provide administrative for compensation programs as needed. Communication & Continuous Improvement Develop and update training materials and employee communications, ensuring they are clear, engaging, and consistent. Support Vendor management by working with benefit, recognition and wellness vendors. Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance the employee experience, and increase efficiency across all total rewards programs. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging best practices to help keep Ryan’s programs competitive and compliant.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in Human Resources, with direct experience in benefits administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with HR and Payroll systems (Workday preferred).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex topics with clarity and empathy.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Able to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency across leave and wellness programs.
  • Flexible, adaptable, collaborative, and solution-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
