About The Position

The Total Rewards Partner for Iberia (Spain and Portugal) is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs across the region, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo guidelines and local market requirements. This role applies strong Total Rewards expertise to define, design, and implement end-to-end reward processes and programs, ensuring they are scalable and can be executed independently by the Global Capability Center. The role partners closely with HR, Total Rewards Centers of Excellence, the Global Capability Center, Finance, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into clear analytical and operational requirements, oversee delivery, and drive continuous improvement. Accountable for ensuring reward programs support business strategy, talent outcomes, and sound financial decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7/8 years of professional experience, ideally including HR generalist and Compensation & Benefits roles
  • Experience in organizations with 500+ employees
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact daily with senior leaders, external providers, and stakeholders across Spain, Portugal, and EMEA
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to transform data into actionable insights
  • Flexibility and agility to address a variety of challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is highly desirable and Portuguese is a plus
  • Advanced IT skills, especially Excel and HR reporting systems
  • Knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese labor legislation and experience with Works Councils/employee representatives
  • Consulting and influencing skills, with a proactive approach to sharing best practices and building capability

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in matrixed FMCG environments and working with HR systems is a plus
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating strong analytical, financial, and conceptual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Total Rewards agenda for Iberia, aligned with business priorities and global frameworks
  • Ensure Total Rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and financially sustainable
  • Design scalable compensation and benefits programs and deploy global initiatives, including base pay, incentives, flex benefits, pay equity, allowances, retirement, insurance and wellbeing
  • Set direction and governance for annual reward cycles (merit, incentives, benefits), leveraging the Global Capability Center (GCC) for execution
  • Define end-to-end processes, decision logic, and execution requirements enabling independent delivery by GCC
  • Drive continuous improvement of reward processes, governance, and ways of working
  • Partner closely with GCC to ensure consistent, timely, and compliant delivery without direct line management
  • Act as the primary Total Rewards advisor to People Business Partners and Iberia business leaders
  • Collaborate with and influence stakeholders across HR, Finance, GCC, and Total Rewards Centers of Excellence
  • Engage with Works Councils and employee representatives on Total Rewards topics, ensuring legal and social compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation in Spain and Portugal, including taxation, social security, and retirement
  • Lead vendor and external partner relationships, including brokers, consultants, and benefit providers.
