About The Position

Eataly is hiring a Benefits Intern for Summer 2026 to work with and learn from Eataly’s Total Rewards Team. This internship is a unique opportunity for hands-on, professional experience with a fun and dynamic team. Get a taste of what life is like as an Eatalian! With the guidance of the Manager of Benefits, the intern will: Learn about Eataly North America’s strategies, systems, processes, and tools related to health & welfare benefits, retirement, leave management, vendor coordination, and benefits communications. Evaluate the current benefits structures and develop a data-driven recommendation for expanding benefits in a way that supports retention, engagement, and market competitiveness while maintaining financial sustainability. Design presentations for LOA training for store management, creating scripts for these to be digitalized and presented by our internal AI tool. Audit and review retirement plans, proactively identifying discrepancies before formal audits and helping to strengthen internal controls. Assist with open enrollment preparation, communications, and employee education materials for US and Canada enrollment periods. Help with data input of compa-ratios into HRIS system, communicating benchmarking to local HR, and ensuring exceptions are flagged separately for future reference. Maintain and organize benefits documentation and SOPs. Perform other duties as required or assigned. This internship runs from June - August. The internship is onsite at Eataly’s corporate offices in Manhattan, NY. The intern will be scheduled per week, Monday – Thursday from 9 am – 6 pm. Internships at Eataly are paid an hourly rate. Housing and transportation costs are the responsibility of the intern. The compensation for this role is $17.00 per hour If you are not a current undergrad, consider applying for many of our open roles!

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • Operational experience in the food and beverage industry
  • To be considered for this internship, candidates should submit a writing sample and transcript.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Italian language highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Canva, SharePoint, LinkedIn, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
