About The Position

Atlantic Union’s Enterprise Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local diverse students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program. Atlantic Union’s Total Rewards Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into the design, configuration and administration of HR systems to support programs in the areas of benefits and compensation. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern, provide the Intern with valuable experience, and allow the Intern to contribute to the Total Rewards Department. Position Accountabilities The Intern is provided assignments that include the operationalization of HR programs through system configuration. The intern will also get the opportunity to: Participate and support the rollout of a new job architecture in summer 2026 Contribute to potential planning and coordination of core HR system change Create procedure documentation Run data validations in support of system changes Participate in special projects or assignments as needed Gain exposure to all areas of Total Rewards (outside of HR system work)

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years’ old
  • Currently working on degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Must be able to function well with indirect supervision

Responsibilities
