Role Purpose: The Total Rewards Coordinator is an analytical and detail-oriented role supporting the administration and ongoing optimization of Total Rewards programs. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial capabilities who is eager to learn all aspects of Total Rewards, including payroll, compensation, benefits, retirement, and wellness programs. Over time, the role is designed to build depth and breadth that can lead to specialist roles and long-term career growth within Total Rewards. As our Total Rewards Coordinator:

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Support Assist with hourly payroll processing, including data validation, audits, reconciliations, and basic issue resolution
  • Review timekeeping, pay codes, and employee data for accuracy; proactively identify and escalate discrepancies
  • Prepare standard payroll reports, workforce cost summaries, and ad hoc data requests
  • Support new hire, transfer, promotion, and termination payroll entries to ensure accurate pay
  • Assist with payroll-related compliance documentation and record retention
  • Partner with the Payroll Specialist to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing
  • Benefits Support Assist with day-to-day administration of health, retirement, wellness, and leave-related programs
  • Support benefit enrollments, status changes, qualifying life events, and open enrollment activities
  • Prepare basic benefits reports and assist with carrier invoice review and reconciliations
  • Help coordinate employee communications related to benefits and wellness initiatives
  • Respond to routine employee benefit inquiries and escalate complex or sensitive issues appropriately
  • HR Systems Support Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity
  • Assist with data audits, system reconciliations, report validation, and error resolution
  • Support user access requests, basic system-troubleshooting, and workflow updates
  • Assist with report building and data extraction for HR, Finance, and leadership needs
  • Document processes and support continuous improvement of HR system workflows
  • Partner with the HR Systems Specialist to ensure consistent data governance and reporting accuracy
  • Development & Career Path Focus Build foundational knowledge across payroll, benefits, compensation, retirement, HR systems, and compliance requirements
  • Participate in projects, process improvements, and cross-training opportunities to gain exposure to specialist-level work
  • Develop strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills within Total Rewards
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to learning
  • Progressively take on increased responsibility in preparation for Payroll, Benefits, or HR Systems Specialist roles
