We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.  Key ResponsibilitiesTotal Rewards Strategy & Governance• Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with organizational goals, values, and talent philosophy.• Partner with the CHRO, Finance, Legal, and senior leadership to ensure strong governance, fiscal discipline, and regulatory compliance.• Establish frameworks for pay equity, transparency, and meritocracy across the organization.Compensation• Lead the design, implementation, and administration of base pay, short  and long term incentive programs, and equity plans (as applicable).• Oversee job architecture, career frameworks, job evaluation, and market pricing using external benchmarking data.• Guide annual compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, bonuses, promotions, and adjustments.• Provide compensation consultation to HR Business Partners and business leaders on complex or sensitive cases.Benefits• Oversee the design and administration of competitive, cost effective benefit programs (health, retirement, wellness, leave, and perquisites).• Partner with brokers and vendors to optimize offerings, manage renewals, and ensure plan compliance.• Drive employee understanding and engagement through effective benefits communication and education.Executive Compensation & Board Support• Support executive compensation programs, including market benchmarking, incentive design, and governance documentation.• Prepare materials for Compensation Committee meetings, as needed, in partnership with Legal and Finance.Analytics, Insights & Optimization• Leverage data and analytics to assess program effectiveness, cost trends, and talent outcomes.• Monitor external labor market trends and regulatory developments; recommend adjustments as needed.• Continuously evaluate programs to improve competitiveness, simplicity, and employee experience.People Leadership & Cross Functional Partnership• Lead, mentor, and develop the Total Rewards team, fostering strong technical expertise and a client focused mindset.• Partner closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and business leaders to ensure seamless execution and communication.Competencies and skills• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).• 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, and/or benefits.• 5+ years of people leadership experience.• Deep knowledge of compensation structures, incentive design, benefits administration, and applicable employment laws.• Strong analytical, financial, and problem solving skills.• Proven ability to influence at the executive level and partner across functions.EEO/AA StatementGlobal Industrial provides equal employment opportunities to all employee and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, and/or benefits.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation structures, incentive design, benefits administration, and applicable employment laws.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to influence at the executive level and partner across functions.
