About The Position

Tooling Technician Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Tooling Technician . The primary job function is to support, set up, and maintain roll form tooling throughout the plant. What you will be doing: Maintain safe working environment and follow safety procedures Repair and maintenance of tube mill cut off dies Work with mill operators to remedy part quality issues Educate mill operators on proper set up procedures Set up and tear down of roll form tooling Coordinate with operators on multiple mills to maintain Cleaning and polishing of roll form tooling using chemical tanks and lathes Ability to lift 50lbs Must be willing to work overtime according to production demands including weekends when necessary The skills and experience you need: High school diploma/trade school preferred. Preferred Journeyman status. Prior knowledge of roll form and tube tooling and processes Ability to trouble shoot tooling issues on tubing and forming mills Ability to read set up charts and blueprints for tooling Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and feeler gauges Experience setting up and maintaining cut-off dies for high-speed flying shears Experience using hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, hex key wrenches, grinders Experience using a lathe to modify or polish tooling Experience using surface grinders Experience trouble shooting mechanical issues and ability to use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems Strong mechanical aptitude This role is located in Tulsa, OK. Requirements

High school diploma/trade school preferred
Prior knowledge of roll form and tube tooling and processes
Ability to trouble shoot tooling issues on tubing and forming mills
Ability to read set up charts and blueprints for tooling
Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and feeler gauges
Experience setting up and maintaining cut-off dies for high-speed flying shears
Experience using hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, hex key wrenches, grinders
Experience using a lathe to modify or polish tooling
