About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Tooling Technician to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you are responsible for preparing and maintaining tooling for the timely manufacture of customer products according to the customer’s specifications. We Offer You! Must be qualified to coordinate and lead the implementation of improvements within their department. Maintains regular 5S principles. Understands quality expectations and works with all team members to ensure quality procedures are being followed and standard work is being followed. Prepares and assembles all tooling for upcoming production runs prior to the time when they are needed, including back-up tooling when necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of machine operations in order to determine how a customer product should be made. Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player. Your Credentials: High School education or equivalent required 3+ years’ manufacturing experience, preferred Auto Cad experience, preferred Experience with calipers, dial indicators, protectors, squares, rulers, etc. Salary: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour, pay based on experience Schedule: Monday – Friday (6:00am – 2:30pm), overtime may be required based on business needs. Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent required
  • 3+ years’ manufacturing experience
  • Experience with calipers, dial indicators, protectors, squares, rulers, etc.
