This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of tooling through comprehensive inspections and precision measurement techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), a strong understanding of tooling specifications, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation
  • Familiarity with tooling and quality inspection methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift safely
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree or Metrology certifications
  • 3+ years of CMM experience
  • Proficiency with Mastercam, CMM Manager, Polyworks, and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience in full tool build programs
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
  • Certified Journeyman Tool Maker

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tooling inspections using visual checks, 3D scanning, CMM, and other precision gauges
  • Interpret tooling prints and specifications accurately
  • Provide CMM programming, operation, and training support to manufacturing personnel
  • Maintain Quality Room and CMM equipment
  • Assist with Calibration, Non-conformance, Quality Communications, and Final Approval processes
