Requirements

  • A STEM degree with 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
  • Demonstrated drafting ability with CREO experience preferred.
  • This role is considered an on-site, first shift position located in Windsor Locks, CT.
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours for first shift (7:30am -4:00pm).
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Aerospace manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of drafters to update existing drawings, create new, detail and assist in release of development and production drawings for tooling.
  • Design and analyze drawings in 2D with 3d modeling of tooling.
  • Manage parts creation from order from internal customers to production level prints.
  • May perform tolerancing stack-ups and/or drawing checking functions.
  • Track and document tooling piece parts including within larger assemblies.
  • This role is contracted for 6 months with opportunity to extend.
