This includes both mechanical and electrical engineering across the full portfolio of support equipment.
  • Own and deepen your expertise in the assembly of your assigned engine module, using prior experience and growing technical mastery to effectively execute policy and strategy.
  • Understand and leverage key business drivers, connecting technical decisions to their impact on safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and understanding how your team integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader program’s success.
  • Use your experience and judgment to solve complex problems, often proposing creative solutions beyond established parameters, drawing on internal experts, data, and your own analytic thinking to make well-founded decisions.
  • Champion Support Equipment design standards, knowing, following, and ensuring your team follows all Support Equipment design processes and requirements.
  • Continuously improve how we design tools, identifying opportunities to refine and enhance Support Equipment design processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Stay close to the customer, understanding customer requirements and CTQs, and translating them into robust, practical equipment solutions.
  • Manage project execution, monitoring schedule, cost, and quality of design deliverables and taking action to keep projects on track and aligned with program needs.
  • Partner with manufacturers, supporting prototype builds and resolving issues to ensure designs are producible, maintainable, and ready for use in the field or on the shop floor.
