About The Position

The Tool Room Team Member II is responsible for the design, construct, repair, and maintain a wide variety of complex fixtures, tooling, gages, test stands, dies, and specialized machine tools. Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, wearing required PPE. Work from design concepts, work orders, sketches, component parts, blue prints, charts, tables, and verbal instructions to: Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gages, and tools to specifications. File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. Setup and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes. Maintain the Company's electronic asset management and maintenance record keeping system. Prepare project plans and project status reports, as required. Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards. Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operations. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Must possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance and design techniques, tools, and principles; read blueprints and understand dimensions and tolerances; use a variety of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, indicators, and height gauges. Demonstrate proficiency in Basic math and trigonometry. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to communicate and work as a team member. Requirements
