Tool Room Attendant RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB REQUIREMENTS Responsible to the Amentum Logistics Manager for the daily routine of researching, validating, initiating requisitions and daily correspondence/reports. Must be capable of performing requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required material in the support of aircraft operations. Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write the English language.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
  • Must be capable of effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be capable of providing training in your specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees.
  • Must have three (3) years experience in their respective position.
  • Will be capable of reading and interpreting all reports, directives, publications and manuals pertaining to your assigned responsibilities.
  • Be capable of performing off-site related services, when directed.
  • Be capable of working any shift assignment.
  • Be capable of working overtime, when required.
  • Be capable of lifting a minimum of 50-75 lbs.
  • Will operate standard office equipment such as: telephones, typewriters, computer terminals and other related mechanized equipment; facsimile and duplicating equipment; calculators, etc.
  • Will be knowledgeable in the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS/OOMA) Program.
  • Must have the ability to design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and files and work accomplished records, etc.
  • Must have the ability to write item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of an agency or field operation.
  • Must have the ability to use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Prior military personnel must present a member 4 DD214 with an Honorable character of service discharge
  • Complies with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to the Amentum Logistics Manager for the daily routine of researching, validating, initiating requisitions and daily correspondence/reports.
  • Capable of performing requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required material in the support of aircraft operations.
  • Design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and files and work accomplished records, etc.
  • Engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment for accountability.
  • Write item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of an agency or field operation.
  • Use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Ensure all security that is applicable.
  • Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program.
  • Comply and participate with the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Program, when directed.
  • Prepare written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation.
  • Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
