Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED (often required).
- Forklift certification or eligible for in-house training.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing preferred.
- Optional certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., from APICS, SOLE) can enhance candidacy.
Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspecting Unload trucks, containers, and pallets; verify quantities and inspect for damage against purchase orders Log and document incoming shipments in inventory systems.
- Material Movement & Storage Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and cranes to move goods within the facility. Place items in designated storage locations and ensure proper stacking, bracing, and labeling.
- Order Picking & Shipping Prep Pick, pack, wrap, label, and stage items according to orders and shipping schedules. Prepare documentation such as bills of lading, work orders, and shipping labels.
- Inventory Management Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits; track stock levels and report discrepancies. Coordinate with supervisors to maintain optimal inventory flow and prevent shortages.
- Equipment & Workplace Maintenance Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on material-handling equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; dispose of waste properly.
