About The Position

Tool & Fixture Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B) to support our 737 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina. This position will support the 737 assembly team, which set-ups positive feed, power feed, and orbital drill motors as well as presetting cutting tools, for major aircraft joins. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
  • 6 months or more of experience in tool set-up and maintenance.
  • 6 months or more of experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Respirator certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months or more of experience setting-up and maintaining powerfeed drills.
  • 6 months or more of experience in setting-up cutters for both manual and automation operations.
  • 6 months or more of experience in operating overhead cranes and/or mobile cranes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tool set up activities.
  • Makes minor repairs.
  • Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools.
  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials, product, and tools as required.
  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.
  • Assists in determining fabrication and assembly processes for the design.
  • Assists in reverse engineering design and fabrication processes for parts.
