About The Position

Responsibility Correct and improve tooling, jigs and fixtures for which responsibility is assigned: Develop, constructs, and alters a wide variety of jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Performs assignments ranging from the use of ordinary tool room operations, to work involving accurate relationships, and extremely close tolerances. Also, reconstruct/repairs and selecting the proper materials. Makes allowances for shrinkage during the heat-treating of tools and metal flows in dies. Identifies and corrects problems in complicated dies and tools. Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of: Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment. Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society. Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady Compliance. Accountable to Tool & Die Team Leader, Tool & Die Asst. Mgr, Tooling Mgr Qualifications Certificate in Progressive Die & Design from industry accredited program. Three (3) to Five (5) years professional experience in tool and Die and Machining in the related field. Experience in Tool and Die Welding. Leadership Ensure compliance with all safety procedures. Assist with associate skill development if assigned by Coordinator. Model and mentor proper process procedures and die or tool problem solving. Service Help train associates in tooling and machining operations. Assist with die or tool repair planning. Complete all tool work orders and other documentation as required. Maintain continuous improvement of all assigned tooling. Support ISO-9001 requirements. Assist in maintaining professional communications within team and other facility teams. Operations Confirm accuracy in die usage for production operation. Monitor product quality. Manage die maintenance area documentation. Manage ordering of all die maintenance supplies, replacement die parts, and maintaining stock on these items. Actively maintain 5s organization throughout the tool shop. Other duties assigned by Tool & Die Team Leader, Tool & Die Asst. Mgr, Tooling Mgr Qualifications Certificate in Progressive Die & Design from industry accredited program.
