As a tool and die maker you'll be part of our team located in Holliston, MA. You'll get to: Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs and molds. Build and repair machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments. Produce components from sketches and detailed drawings. Complete daily production requirements on time. Calibrate measuring devices throughout the plant. Conform to health and safety requirements, quality standards and company policy Inspect and reject defective material and brings rejected material to the attention of the materials buyer planner. Responsible for all copper components related to production, inventory, resurfacing & reordering. Requirements
- Five years' experience with sheet metal.
- Mechanical ability required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating production machinery in a machine shop or sheet metal shop.
- Experience using micrometers, verniers, protractors, squares, and depth gages.
- Blueprint reading experience.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and communicate clearly.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, anything over 35 pounds with apparatus assistance and move up to 180 pounds.
- Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs. throughout the day.
