Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead technical resource for complex die repairs and troubleshooting
- Support emergency tooling repairs to minimize production downtime
- Assist with die tryouts, modifications, and continuous improvement activities
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve tooling-related issues
- Identify opportunities to improve die performance, reliability, and scrap reduction
- Support new die launches and engineering changes as required
- Maintain accurate tooling repair and maintenance documentation
- Ensure proper tooling handling, storage, and preventive maintenance practices
- Uphold and promote safety, quality, and 5S standards in the tool room
- Provide guidance and on-the-job support to Tool & Die Maker I and apprentices
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations
