About The Position

The Role Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Tool Designer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY . The key responsibilities of this Tool Designer include, but are not limited to: Prepare tool, gage, and process enhancement designs using Pro/ENGINEER software Perform calculations to determine exact dimensions, correlating specifications and engineering data Ability to make drawings for both production and vendors Interface with continuous improvement, engineering, process engineering, and manufacturing daily Interface with vendors for procurement of purchased items Location Sidney, NY 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY Salary: $45,000 - $70,000 The Person The key skills and qualities of a at Amphenol Aerospace Operations: Associate's in mechanical engineer or related field/experience Experience in a machine shop, tool-design/application position, or related area preferred Experience with project management preferred Working knowledge of Pro/ENGINEER software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple requests and projects concurrently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working with and on the manufacturing floor frequently Some travel to tooling vendors or Nogales possible (minimal, 10%) The Company With manufacturing sites in Sidney, NY, Mesa, AZ, Nogales, MX, and a Design Center in Pasadena, CA, Amphenol Aerospace Operations has been a leader in designing and manufacturing electrical components for the aviation and commercial airplane industry for over 100 years. Requirements

  • Associate's in mechanical engineer or related field/experience
